Peggy Fontenot guides adults and children to wellness through energy work grounded in the traditions of the Lakota tribe, Reiki, and Polarity practices. Her clients often experience gentle healing from the laying on of hands or sense a rebalancing of energy that lasts long after each session, resulting in better quality sleep, a reduction in stress and a calmness that persists.

Peggy’s clients seek relief from chronic conditions such as insomnia or back discomfort or pain. Some simply seek a greater clarity and meaning in their individual spiritual paths. Her integrative use of energy techniques with her knowledge of Lakota practices encourages mind-body wellness.

Peggy enjoys sharing the practice of Native American Spirit work with people of all ages, including children. Her techniques include, smudging, drumming, prayer, feathering, leading sweat lodges, and preparing individuals to go on vision quests.

In combination with these practices, Peggy uses therapeutic touch to identify blocked energy areas. Her expertise in Reiki and Polarity work allows her to open chakras and encourage greater healing and balance in her clients. Some report feeling “energized” or thinking that the table is “electrified” as they begin to notice unobstructed energy flow during a session.

The enhanced energy flow that Peggy stimulates can have dramatic effects depending on each individual’s issues. For example, one client whose mobility was impaired due to severe back pain now has little need of his cane and is able to get out of bed with ease as a result of his sessions with Peggy.

Her involvement in the Lakota community began in the late 1990’s and led her to learn under spiritual elder Arlene High Horse of the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. She also studied Reiki under two master teachers and trained in polarity practices at the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts.

Peggy sees her role, be it as spiritual guide or as healer, to be one of helping her clients awaken the body’s ability to heal itself. Her aim is to help each person return to the core of who they are and to find spiritual attunement.
